Update

Well, the good news is that it has stopped raining for the moment. Well the last couple of hours anyway. It looks like the pond has also stopped spreading. The surge has come about 10 feet from the original banks. It's still about 40 feet away from where I am. And the depth of the water is to the botttom of the bench seats. So about a foot, foot and a half. So not to bad. All in all.

Although like my last entry said they are calling for more days of rain. Hopefully not or at least not any more today so the pond has a chance to start to recede before it begins again.

I thought they said that Australia was an arid desert continent.
