Keeping the instructor busy
As my last post said I was getting ready to go to spin class. I felt good after the first class so I decided to stay for the second one. There were three of us who decided to stay. Which I think surprised the instructor because even before the first class started he warned us it was a tough class. We basically spent the entire class climbing at between 80-90% of the maximum tension. Anyway, three of us decided to stay, when the second class started the one guy asked if it was going to be like the first. At which the instructor laughed and asked if he was suicidal. While the second class wasn't as bad asa the first it was only slightly less intense. The three of us made it through the second class. As everyone was getting off at the end, we did keep him busy as he was busy keeping an eye on the three of us to make sure we were able to
a) get off the bikes in the first place
b) that when we did get off we were able to stand.
The three of us were in different parts of the room. There was a split second when I wasn't sure if my legs were going to hold or not, but they did. I figure the instructor kept us busy for an hour and a half we needed to keep him busy for a couple of minutes while we were stretching at the end.
All in all it was worth choking down the peanut butter and gatorade.
Although yesterday was a different story. I went to water aerobics to stretch out and have an easy day. The instructor made us cycle down the length of the pool (it's an Olympic qualified pool) As soon as she said that she wanted us to cycle. I yelled out her name, she was like what, do you have a cramp? I said no that I had done double spin last night with X. She was like oh, I promise this is the only cycling we do. So that was good, we only have to cycle down one length of the pool. I'm much better today and by tomorrow I'll be back to normal which is good because Mondays and Thursdays are my 'hard' days.
