Australian Pharmacists
My eczema is back for the first time in I can't remember. But that's ok. I know it's just my body reacting to the new environment. It doesn't help that I'm in the pool 2-3X's a week either but that's not the reason for this post. The reason is that unlike in Canada where you need a doctor to write you a prescription to get behind the counter medicines you don't here. I was in at the Chemists (yet another tie to their English heritage) and was talking to the chemist about what I wanted. He looked at my elbows and asked a few questions. He took my overseas health card (which miraculously I had with me, I usually leave it in my desk) then wrote and filled the prescription for the tube of lotion. Which needless to say shocked the hell out of me. The best part was that there was no dispensing fee, or at least I didn't have to pay it. And my elbows are getting better too. All in all a very satisfying day. Oh yeah, classes went well too as the one prof gave us an extension for the paper that was due next week. WWWOOO HHHOO extensions rock!
