Water, Water Everywhere...

And not a drop to use.

Yeah I know that's not how the saying ends but in this case it is. The campus has no water today. When I came back from water aerobics this morning I tried to have a shower. No water pressure. I thought it might have just been my room so I checked the lounge. No go.

I went to the gym and was going to shower there they didn't have any either. So off to Student accommodation to say there was no water. I was told that an email was sent to everyone in the one residence that there was no water. But if I had a friend in North Tower I could shower there. I then informed her that I lived in North Tower. She only let me explain that I tried to shower and couldn't before launching into her explanation. Her response was Oh S*&^ that means its the main water main which services the entire university.

I might add that it was about 9 am on a Friday when this main broke. She assured me that it would only be 3-4 hours. When I heard that I was thinking yeah right. I know when dad has been involved with burst pipes it's been an all night and most of the next day at least to get it backup and running.

As it is a Friday I am expecting to be without water for the weekend. Although the cafeteria has already been handing out extra bottles of water for the ones living on campus so we can drink. I'm also thinking that the bar will also be open extra hours this weekend so we can have something to drink.

So the only concern is showers. It's a good thing that I'm single and scare men as it is, so I don't have to worry about offending anyone this weekend cause I cant shower.
