Normal?!?

Well, at least according to the thyroid specialist I am. I got the news a couple of hours ago that after an 8 1/2 yr battle that I am 'normal' It means I still have to be monitored for at least another year to be completely sure. But so far things are looking good. Most recurrence's occur within a year of stopping treatment. And it's been a year. That being said the 3 years ago when we realised it had flared up again it have been just over two. However, that being said once the Dr and I sat down and examined it we realised that the flair up had happened just outside the one year mark it just took almost another year to get reach the point where we realised something was really wrong.

So that being said I am cautiously optimist that this might be the end. He wants to see me in 6 months time. If at that point I'm still 'normal' then I might start to believe that this is behind me.

On a positive a normal thyroid means that I should be able to lose the rest of this weight. Here's hoping anyway. :)
