Flashback to Guelph
Of the 21 students in my one class 13 are Canadian. Every moring when the Canadian boys come in with their hats on as they are walking to their seats the hats come off. The first morning this happened I was immediately transported back to Guelph when all the farmboys use to take their hats off when they walked into a building. The boys here don't go to that same extent but they do take them off once they're in the classroom.
Also there's been a couple of instances when the prof has made a comment which could be taken a number of ways. He's pretty on the ball as he has within moments made sure he clairifies which way we should take it. I am one of 3 women in the class, so just like back at Guelph it's easy to forget that we're around.
That being said a friend (male) and I were talking once about how men here are so careful not to make risque comments. He assured me that guys here do it they are just really careful about who they say it in front of. They've learned to only make comments like that around women who they know they can get away with it.
