Welcome Back

What a rude welcome back. As discussed yesterday for a while I thought I was back on vacation. Unfortunately vacation did not continue today at aerobics. I was actually able to drag my ass out of bed for 6 am aerobics. I should have stayed in bed.

The instructor who runs the 6 am class is the trainer who I have been working with since I got here. So he knows my feelings about being up before 8 am as well as the bright and cheery disposition I have at that time in the morning. He has learned that at that time in the morning I am your worst pms psycho B&^%* (with a capital B) Needless to say he was as shocked as my body was to be up that early this morning.

By the way I should mention that it was a boxing circuit class. As your reading this all of your worse nightmares(well mine anyway I thought I was having one) Around the room three times with 30-60 seconds at each full out. Although he was nice enough to stop us every 5 minutes to do pushups. I hate pushups at any time of the day but especially at that time of the morning.

The nice thing was that when it came time to run, he didn't make me run. I made sure he was very aware of my feelings towards running before my shadow came anywhere near that class. So I didn't have to run. Instead I had to go on the rowing machine once and he made me skip for the second time. The skipping did not go well as by that time my body was too busy yelling at me to go back to bed, to be able to concentrate on lifting my feet off the ground.

Needless to say my body thought we were dying. It was at that point that the instructor told me that he was surprised that I kept up as well as I did. I didn't think I had. I think he was just trying to make me feel better. Cause at that point I felt like the pictures you see of people running marathons who are sick when they stop. But I digress. The next words out of his mouth after the keeping up comment was that since I'm just starting (did I mention it was my first boxing circuit class?) that I didn't have to do the entire thing and that I should have just stayed for the first 15 min or so and then added a few more minutes each time. Great! I was thinking can I hit him now? I know how to hit cause I just spent the last hour on the punching bags. Needless to say I think he realized this cause he then reiterated what a great job I had done.

I have been to kickboxing class (which I love) and thought this was going to be the same sort of thing. Needless to say it wasn't and I haven't decided if I am going to go to Thursday class or not. My body will determine that tomorrow morning when it's time to get up.

But like I eluded to earlier. Yesterday I thought I was on vacation and today was the cold harsh reality that I wasn't. Welcome back to the real world.
