Apology Week Continues
There has been yet another installment in the growing list of apologies this week.
I had two more both of which were for one word. Wednesday in my one seminar we were talking about forensic procedures. The problem we were given involved body cavity searches. It eventually came around to was the removal of a condom full of heroin from the guy's but an intimate or non-intimate procedure.
Someone made the comment at least they're not pulling it from a chick's c*&^. A little background there is myself and one other female in that seminar. The seminar leader just about fell out of his seat. Needless to say the guy who made the comment and the two of us were asked to stay back at the end. The leader reamed the guy out in front of us and then he did apologize to us for saying that word.
Thursday during the lecture for that class we learned about police questioning and when does a person go from being a bystander/witness to being suspected.
While discussing the case which is the authority for this issue, the suspect used the same language that had been used in class on Wednesday. While the prof was telling the story, just as he was getting to the language used, he apologized ahead of time to the women in the class and assured us that he was only repeating what the suspect had said.
Like my entry from the other day said. I'm just not use to being apologized to for people's language. I'm not complaining about being apologized to it's just surprising is all.
