New Trainer
I had my first session with my new trainer. I have finally found a suitable replacement for the last good one. It only took a year. But that's OK because it didn't take five.
A while ago I was whingeing to a friend of mine about being unhappy with the one I had at that point in time. He said that it sounded like the trainer had to 'grow a set' and stand up to me. I hadn't thought about in those exact terms before then but he was right. Well, I'm happy to say that my new trainer has a 'set' and isn't afraid to stand up to me. There were a couple of moments yesterday when 'casino Sarah' complete with full piss off attitude started to rear her ugly head. He took complete control of the moment and got me back on track. That was what the last good trainer was able to achieve and with him I lost 5 kilos in a month before my thyroid messed up again.
My thyroid has been fine since May (this is the longest stretch in 7 years) so now with a compatible and competent trainer it looks like I might actually be able to lose some of this weight. WOO-HOO!!!
