Survived
Well, I survived. In fact all 45 of us survived. At least the 3 hrs Saturday morning. The gym had an open house weekend and on Saturday the local bike shop sponsored a 3hr spin class. We all survived the class. The theme was blood, sweat and tears. I was surprised there was only a couple of people who walked out early. I was expecting there to be a lot more who didn't make it through. When I got back home I told my housemates to make sure that if they saw me asleep on the couch that they had to wake me up. As I didn't want to sleep Sat afternoon cause it would mess up my sleeping Saturday night and I didn't want to have to deal with my trainer when he found out that I had missed 5:30am Sunday morning running group.
Saturday I wasn't as sore as I thought, Sunday morning was another story. I went for a run and that helped it got the blood flowing again. Then I made the mistake of going to the yoga/tai chi class the gym offers. As this was open house weekend the gym was doing a 'best of' for all their classes which meant that the instructors got to pick their favourite (they interpreted to mean hardest) songs. I thought I was going to die. From about the 3rd (of 10 songs) I was thinking this is NEVER going to end. I hadn't had that thought at any point during the spin class. I was happy to learn that I wasn't the only person hurting yesterday. I ran into the wife of one of the spin instructors and she said he slept for like 4 hrs Sat afternoon.
