Little Harsh?
Maybe I was a little harsh on the women in my life here in my last entry. I had to get another pair of running shoes yesterday. I went through the last pair in <6 months. Guess I'll just have to stop running. :D
Anyway, one of the women from my running group works at one of the local sports stores and she said to stop by because we get a 15% discount. So, yesterday I went to her shop and she asked how training was going because she knew I had hurt my hip. At the time of our conversation I had just over 2 hrs in the gym and almost 3000 calories. It's been a monster week so far. Anyway, she got all excited when she heard the numbers I had been pulling. I guess the week off helped. She was really supportive & encouraging. I had my digital camera with me as I had to print off some pictures. So I showed her pics of me from October. (She's only known me since Feb when I've all ready lost a bunch of weight). Based on her reaction I thought I was going to have to pick her up off the floor.
I started this post saying that I might have been a little harsh on the women in my life. As I've been writing this it's come to my attention that the women here who have been supportive of my efforts are all women who have come into my life recently. Like Dr. Phil says you have to surround yourself with people who are supportive of your weight loss efforts. Looks like it's time to go through my friends and cull those who are no longer supportive.
