An Interesting (to say the least) 3 Weeks
Things here have been crazier then normal and I just want them to calm down. On top of the usual papers, assignments, reading, seminars and lectures. Not to mention spinning and aerobics classes. I have been juggling doctors and specialists appointments not to mention running around for tests. For the last 3 weeks. The best part is that they know something is wrong, but the doctors don't know what it is, other then they think it might be my thyroid. But they don't know for sure.
Did I mention that all the major assignments are coming up due? And that the doctor appointments and test are an hour and a half bus ride (one way) away? Plus because they are specialists they don't deal directly with the insurance company because it is private? So on top of all that I've been arguing with the insurance company and trying to get back and forth to these appointments with no car, as well as trying to juggle classes and assignments and trying to get deadlines extended? Oh yeah, my thyroid specialist back there is no longer practicing. So it's been really interesting trying to get records transferred but a plus is that the one here doesn't need those records yet. Did I mention that this has all been happening in the last 3 weeks?
On the bright side. I've come to realize just how small the school is. Not just the law school but the people within it as well as others in the Bond community. It's been amazing to witness that I don't even have to ask for help and people are offering. We're talking everything from driving me to dr's appointments to booking them in some instances to offers to help me talk to professors to get deadlines moved and classes rearranged. I've even had people monitoring me at boxing and spin classes to make sure that I don't over it.
So while it's been a crazy stressful time here, it's also been very rewarding. There are people out there who actually do care and want to help without them having an ulterior motive or expecting to get something in return. That was one of the things I learned about living in the Niagara Falls people there always are willing to help but it is with a condition. The people here are willing to help unconditionally.
So like I said. It's been an interesting 3 weeks.
