Twenty Minutes....and Three Years
Well, it only took 20 minutes into class this morning with a new instructor to get a nickname. Not to mention the three years I have been here for. Well, three tomorrow. But I digress, this morning there was a new instructor for the class. I went and told him that it was only the second time I had done this particular class, and told him that I was going to go at my own pace but if he saw me messing up just to yell Sarah and correct me. He then asked about the accent and I said it was Canadian. The good news was that he didn't have to correct my technique, however, part was through the class he did call out and asked how Canada was holding up.
It turns out that he is going to be the permanent instructor for the Thursday am class. It ought to be interesting. At least his visualization techniques to make sure we're using the right muscles, are enough to keep us awake, or at least those people who are conscious enough at 5:45am to be able to pick them up. This morning for one set of squats he told us to picture that we had a $100 bill between our cheeks and someone was trying to pull it out. Our mission was to ensure that they weren't able to pull it out. When we did squats again later on he told us that we had image we were juicing our own grapes. That one is kinda gross if you think about it too much, but at least it got us to squeeze our butts.
The best part was that I didn't get kept in after class like last week, although, that being said I hightailed it out of there as soon as I could so he wasn't able to tell that I had left. That being said, I'm sure that the next time I see him, he'll have something to say about me and my disappearing act.
Hope everyone had a good long weekend and were able to take advantage of it.
